skw
I'm having the same problem. At least 3 times/week I get a popup telling me an update is available, download now. When I click on that, it takes me immediately to a web page that tells me my version is up-to-date. It's sad. Piriform does so much that's right, but they can't seem to get this fixed. Admin MrA Posted October 31, 2014 Admin Share Posted October 31, 2014 Hi coosawjack We have been seeing a false error message due to a corrupt update checking process and it can be solved by re-installing CCleaner. You can download the latest version of CCleaner directly from http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/standard

Jack You could just go back to version 4.17 for now,as many have done.No monitoring crap in 4.17 and none of the many problems that have evolved since they added system monitoring.
