Downloading Software

We recently downloaded dbpoweramp We could not get the functions up we wanted. We read further through the forum and found we could not get the particular functions (CD Burner) to appear let alone run until we read the Instructions. to get the best out of the software you must run it on 32bit when all computers seem to be 64bit we did not know until today how to do this. By further reading. when you install dbpoweramp on a completely fresh install  you must keep your finger on the right hand shift key this changes the installation to 32bit on this software

Question we asking is is this method  compatible with all software.

never heard of that one.

holding right Shift for more than 8 seconds brings up the Filter Keys options and holding any Shift down while the PC starts used to stop the start-up processes running (haven't used it for ages) but I haven't heard it being able to convert from 32bit to 64bit or vice-versa.

programs don't work that way, they would already have needed to install both bit versions in order to start whatever one a Shift key may control.

Backup now & backup often.
It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.
Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last.

This must be what you are talking about.

In my mind any program that requires you to do that is not very user friendly or well written.

I'd say it's just Spoon's way of making a work-around. Although since it's commercial software a tick-box to choose 32-bit or 64-bit would be better for paying people that won't know anything about that forum topic on his site.
