CSGalloway
This may not apply to winapp2.ini solely but thohgtI'd post here anyway. The Windows Disk Cleanup (cleanmgr.exe) can be set to cleanup the following areas: (using windows 7 64 bit) - Temporary setup files - Downloaded Program files - Temporary Internet Files - Offline pages - debug dump files - old chkdsk files - previous windows installations - recycle bin - service pack backup files - setup log files - system error memory dump files - """"""""""""""" minidump files - temporary files - temporary windows installation files - files discarded by windows upgrade - per user archived windows error reporting files - per user queued """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" - system archived """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" - system queued """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" - windows upgrade log files Which of these are already done by CCleaner (+ winapp2.ini) and their section and item names please? Any more of these to be added ?
JDPower
I downloaded and installed the software you mention. To delete the folders would have deleted the uninstallers present. I don't know how many different ways I have to say this, but you're wrong! Just cos that is the case on your system doesn't make it the case for every other. SMalik
We've already had this conversation on this application; removing recents is not worth losing one's prefs. I'm sure there are people who don't mind using these including me. I have two other WELL-KNOWN privacy erasing programs! I have sent them this entry & they have accepted it in their programs as it is with a warning about losing preferences. None of the privacy erasing programs erase Installation Packages of Installed Programs except CCleaner because of entries available in Winapp2.ini. Entries like removing all iPhone, iPad, iPod backups at once doesn't make sense. You should pay some attention on these issues.

Moderators Nergal Posted October 1, 2013 Moderators Share Posted October 1, 2013 Saad I ran though all the changes that occur with the removal of that file in april. (and in the post above it told you why we don't care what "other programs do") Since then you've been much more discriminating about your entries; even admonishing other submitters when they over step those lines, so why now are you resubmitting as if none of that occurred? EDIT: For others to sound off about this subject, this is what occurs when preferences is removed http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&view=findpost&p=233286 I'm sure there are people who don't mind using these including me.
