I would like to recommend that if ccleaner doesn't find applicaitons such as google toolbar installed that it remove it from the registry so that the windows stops trying to load the update service. The "information" below appears in the application log over and over, even when the google application is installed correctly and continues even after the application (in this case google toolbar) is uninstalled properly. Event Type: Information Event Source: gupdate Event Category: None Event ID: 0 Date: 1/5/2012 Time: 1:09:03 PM User: N/A Computer: PC171 Description: The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( gupdate ) cannot be found.
