Moderators hazelnut Posted April 18, 2014 Moderators Share Posted April 18, 2014 Nokia has temporarily halted sales of the Lumia 2520 in seven countries, because the tablet's AC-300 charger can give users an electric shock. http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9247734/Nokia_suspends_tablet_sales_due_to_faulty_charger Support contact https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general or support@ccleaner.com
Moderators rridgely Posted April 20, 2014 Moderators Share Posted April 20, 2014 This is the second device I've seen lately with this issue. HP released a chromebook with a faulty charger just a few months ago. Seems strange that after all this time using the same battery technology, these companies are still screwing it up. On a somewhat related note, did anyone see the video of the guy smashing up the galaxy s5 with a hammer and then the battery exploded? Makes me wonder if I really want to carry around the phone in my pocket anymore.
Moderators Nergal Posted April 20, 2014 Moderators Share Posted April 20, 2014 Do you carry swinging hammers in your pockets often? ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Moderators mta Posted April 20, 2014 Moderators Share Posted April 20, 2014 Damn, that is a violent, chemical reaction. Admittedly initiated by taking the battery into non-normal conditions - but still - there's some chemicals at work in that thing of very different energy levels to cause that sort of incident. I hate to think what he breathed in at the end to make him cough ! Backup now & backup often. It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last.
Moderators rridgely Posted April 20, 2014 Moderators Share Posted April 20, 2014 Do you carry swinging hammers in your pockets often? No, but I do carry around spare batteries for my S3 in my pocket all the time. I also keep one in my car and in my backpack. I never considered that they could explode. What if I sat on it and it exploded?
