Apparently Java 8 isn't compatible with XP.

Have been told that at the moment it installs side by side with Java 7u51 (no auto update) so as to avoid not being able to use Java 8 on software that is not compatible with it yet?

Thanks for the info everyone.

Am keeping the last java 7 (jre-7u51-windows-i586) against a day when I might need to install it temporarily in win xp.

The CCleaner SLIM version is always released a bit after any new version; when it is it will be HERE :-)

Pssssst: ... It isn't really a cloud. Its a bunch of big, giant servers.
