Stevenot
I've just updated my CCleaner Pro to v5.03. I hadn't observed it in the previous version, but I'm just wondering why there are duplicate entries for some items in the Startup section of my CCleaner. I notice, for example, that the program SUPERAntiSpyware (amongst others) is listed opposite the user 'Tom' (me) and also opposite the user 'Administrator' (me). I try to disable unwanted programs in Startup if possible, but am not sure if one of the double entries should be disabled. I attach a screenshot.Thank you. Moderators Nergal Posted February 24, 2015 Moderators Share Posted February 24, 2015 Administrator user is not the same as Admin privileges ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Moderators Andavari Posted February 25, 2015 Moderators Share Posted February 25, 2015 From my past experience with SuperAntiSpyware it creates a startup entry even if using the freeware version. If there's a SuperAntiSpyware forum it's probably best to ask them before removing either of the entries you see.
Stevenot
Thanks, folks I know that Administrator user is not the same as Admin privileges, Nergal. My question was WHY there are duplicate entries for several programs in the CCleaner 'Startup'. It's not a SuperAntiSpyware-specific issue, Andavari, because several programs, as well as SuperAntiSpyware, have duplicate entries.

Stevenot
Thanks, Hazelnut. That link seems like a possible resolution, but before I go down that road I've disabled one of the various duplicate entries in the CCleaner tools>startup section. The duplicates under in that section were Administrator and Tom (myself). I disabled Administrator in each duplicate case. I'll report back if that's a successful resolution.
