I have a WD my book live (personal cloud plugged on router) and managed to delete a folder full of my kids photos on it. I got it apart and connected via a SATA to UBS docking station to my Windows 8 laptop. First the laptop wants me to format the drive, which I refuse to do since I don't want to loose any data. Recuva found 146 files after a deep scan, but when I click "recover" it sends a message that it can not recover the files even though it found them and shown green and healhy. Help!!! Am I doing something wrong?? Or is recuva not working as intended? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Moderators Augeas Posted September 7, 2014 Moderators Share Posted September 7, 2014 Recuva does not support any file systems apart from those used by Windows. Ext4 is a Linux file system.
