bposner
Ran a defrag took two days, now none of my files are associated anymore. Pictures are just blank documents, Office files are too?? Windows 10 64bit Right clicking on files, doesn't do anything, just causes "not responding" in Explorer. Everything was fine before i ran this program, just was a bit slow. Please advise Thanks

bposner
Thanks that seemed to work, but why would that happen? Will it happen every time I use this program?
Moderators hazelnut Posted March 30, 2016 Moderators Share Posted March 30, 2016 No idea why it happened bposner It's not something that has been reported before, may have been something particular to your machine. Moderators nukecad Posted March 30, 2016 Moderators Share Posted March 30, 2016 Thanks that seemed to work, but why would that happen? Will it happen every time I use this program? Theres one way to find out, defrag again and see what happens. You know how to get the associations back if they do get lost. I would suspect it's Win10 64 bit throwing a wobbler with your particular machine. I also have Win10 64 and have not had that problem, but did have a problem a few months ago where Win10 kept resetting all my desktop icons to blank generic ones. Did my head in for a couple of weeks, I would rebuild the icon cache only for it to be back to blank icons the next day. Then we had a Windows Patch Tuesday and the problem was gone, showing it was Windows and not anything that I was running. *** Out of Beer Error ->->-> Recovering Memory *** Worried about 'Tracking Files'?
