blarty-fargo
Hi all Never seen a CCleaner crash before, but v5.10.5373 64bit crashes when opened for 1st time after booting about 3 times in 5. Nothing in event log. Subsequent opening of CCleaner is ok.
Moderators Nergal Posted October 12, 2015 Moderators Share Posted October 12, 2015 Antivirus program? Windows Version. Can you recreate the crash consistenty, and if so please present a debug report by running ccleaner with the command-line switch /debug For more information http://www.piriform.com/docs/ccleaner/troubleshooting/running-ccleaner-in-debug-mode Please post the resulting log (again only one showing the crash, others would be useless) While there have been a rash of similar threads, i'm hesitant to link you to them as, in my opinion, these crashes may be unrelated. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. doodah305
CClearner Free, v5.10.5373, crashes consistently on first execution, and then starts normally on second execution. I am running Windows 10 Pro 32-Bit. Norton Security 2015 is the antivirus app. Tried new download and install to no avail. The PC is running an AMD Processor. illuminator
I have same problem. Use on Windows 10 Pro (64 bits). No 3rd-party antivirus. Windows Defender. Should I use former version instend of latest version?
Moderators Nergal Posted October 26, 2015 Moderators Share Posted October 26, 2015 The developers are aware of the issue, and a new version in eminent (likely in the next few days) so a fix may be in the works (though I have no inside information past educated guessing). Edit: Lol. I guess I'm a little late on that, new release was today. Can everyone try 5.11 and report back ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.
