loloytisoy
I have downgraded windows 8 to windows 7. Before the windows 7 was installed, my hard drive was cleaned so the 2 partitions become 1. I have created again 2 partitions and installed the os at drive c. I run recuva recovery software to retrieve the files I need. Unfortunately, MS Office files cannot be opened after the recovery and the files names were changed. Only mp3s, jpg, jpeg, avi, wmv mpeg are recovered fully. Are there ways to get back fully the MS Office files? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Moderators Nergal Posted March 6, 2015 Moderators Share Posted March 6, 2015 Well you did a ton of reformatting, so I for one was suprised you had any success. Are you rexovering the file to the source drive; eg. originally they were on the OS Drive and now you are attempting to recover them back to the same drive? If so they may now be gone forever. In recuva's options do you have show non-deleted files checked off? As well is deep scan? ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
