Moderators mta Posted May 7, 2015 Moderators Share Posted May 7, 2015 just because the files were recovered in no way guarantees they are usable and haven't been corrupted. the fact that some of them sound like they are opening would support that. can you provide further info like your OS version, files in question, errors you are getting, how they were deleted, process of recovery etc etc. was the drive accessed before the recovery was done? the more info you provide, the better someone may be able to help you. and by the way, the free and paid-for versions do the same file recovery process, the paid-for has the added benefit of direct, priority support, auto updates and I think being able to access some special drives or file formats but I'm not 100% om that one. so since you have the paid-for version, contacting Piriform directly may be the best, fastest route. Backup now & backup often.It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last.
