clayto
1. When I run CCleaner and select Applications it always shows zero bytes to be cleaned, although when I then run 'clean' usually 100 MB plus are cleaned. Does this suggest something is wrong in the way the program is functioning? 2. When I run Disk Analysis it lists files, with their sizes, which are in fact set to 'available online only'. Is this not giving a false readout of the amount of HDD space used? Do the totals of MB used and available which are shown, both in the pie chart and in figures, take account of these 'none present' files (mainly large video and image files) and if not, is the information given incorrect? Other Disk Analysis tools I use do not show these files to be present at all. Is this also misleading or incomplete? I would welcome comments on these two points. clayto
Moderators Nergal Posted June 13, 2015 Moderators Share Posted June 13, 2015 1. Applications and system tabs run consecutively ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
