Potentially dangerous application detected with Eset 8 ?

It's because of the 3rd party included Google Software included in the installer, many antivirus' will detect it. Like stated in my previous post there's an option to opt-out of installing the Google Software, or just use the Portable Build which shouldn't have antivirus' giving a warning.

 

You can also always upload files your antivirus could potentially give a false positive detection of for a second opinion using multiple antivirus engines at:

* VirusTotal - https://www.virustotal.com/

As annoying as it is, luckily it's easy enough to opt out, plus to keep the product free, they go down this path.

Backup now & backup often.
It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.
Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last.
