Deke40
I did a search and couldn't find anything. I checked the "DNS Cache" and did a cleaning. Used the ipconfig/ displaydns and there is still a long list there. What am I not doing wrong. I even used the ipconfig /flushdns command and it said the cache had been flushed but is still there. Moderators Nergal Posted September 2, 2011 Moderators Share Posted September 2, 2011 Are you using a altered hosts file? or perhaps flush and ccleaner both cause the dns to begin rebuilding. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Moderators Nergal Posted September 2, 2011 Moderators Share Posted September 2, 2011 when you do /displaydns what are some of the entries? Everything I've found on the subject says that those that are immediatly listed after a flush are coming from the HOSTS file ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.
