fastercleanerplease
Hey guys, Ever since I've changed my PC to Windows 10 Pro, CCleaner's 'Run Cleaner' function has been incredibly slow. In Windows 8, it used to run in about 10-30 seconds. Now, it takes 15-20 minutes, and always seems to get stuck on iexplore files and emptying the recycle bin. I miss the old CCleaner times, but now it's such an annoyance to run. Can anybody suggest any potential fixes or anything I can do to get the old cleaning times back? My CCleaner version is 5.09.5343 (64 bit) My OS is Windows 10 Pro 64-bit My PC specs are Intel Core i5-2557M CPU @ 1.70ghz, 4.0GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics 3000 Thanks! fastercleanerplease
For example, it's been stuck at 44% cleaning on one file in the recycle bin for ten minutes now, and I have no idea why

Moderators Nergal Posted September 6, 2015 Moderators Share Posted September 6, 2015 What happens if you clean the recycle bin manually? (not using ccleaner) It empties in about 10 seconds She means empty the recycle bin and then run ccleaner. Is it then as slow. What settings do you have in ccleaner (multipass wipe, wipe free space checked, don't ask to close browser are often suspect in slow cleaning). Are all of your browsers closed. try unchecking all Edge settings, is it still slow? ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
