Bluelybell
Morning, Have just downloaded the latest version of CCleaner and it seem to get stuck very early on in the installation process which seems out of character for the software as it generally for me takes a couple of minutes, its been sat for about 15 mins with budging, has anyone else had this problem with this version? Many Thanks Bluelybell
Moderators Nergal Posted August 27, 2015 Moderators Share Posted August 27, 2015 What antivirus do you run? This is often caused by the antivirus flagging the bundled google chrome/toolbar installer ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Bluelybell
The last time i installed the update 508 it installed fine, i suspect that Nergal may well be right about it being the antivirus. Thanks everyone. p.s. I have just temporarily disabled antivirus protection and the update installed as it should.
