Ok i am facing this problem from few weeks, everytime i restart my computer i have to start the ccleaner on my own as it wont show up in the system tray like it used to (Auto Monitoring).

Auto monitor is enabled in my program and also it shows up under startup list of CCLEANER with a command "C:\Program files\CCleaner\CCleaner.exe" /MONITOR

Dunno what to do as i am fed up cos i have to start this manually every time i start my computer.

I am using windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit and also i have windows 8 64bit

My ccleaner version is 4.12.4657

Auto Monitoring is only available in the Professional version so you are eligible to get help directly from Piriform.

Backup now & backup often.

What he was saying is you'll get a better and faster answer from support on this issue than from the forum.

However i'm going to guess uac is stopping the launch.

Also you have ccleaner starting twice, the /auto maybe stopping the /monitor from going, but that's a guess a better answer would come straight via your support rep as suggested above.

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.

  • 2 weeks later...

Sorry to hear that you are having problems with Monitoring.

Can you please go to the Monitoring screen and disable both options? Then re-enable both or at least one of them. Let's us know if solved the problem.

Also, is the "/AUTO" launching CCleaner correctly and cleaning your system?

Thanks
