AnalogueMan
Running the program 'Last Activity View' developed by NirSoft for the first time on my computer and looking at its results I was completely flabbergasted. All the actions I did on my computer like running .exe files, opening and closing folders and many more were displayed over a large period of time. I was flabbergasted because I am using CCleaner for a long time and runs it after each computer session before shutting down. Thinking my privacy was secured by this action. Did I forgot to check a cleaning item on the 'Windows' tab or 'Applications' tab of CCleaner? Is it possible for CCleaner to remove that info or parts of it? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Moderators Augeas Posted November 17, 2014 Moderators Share Posted November 17, 2014 As far as I can see LAV collects info from event logs, the registry and the prefetch folder, and other sources. You can clean Windows logs, but not much of the other sources. The best thing is to read http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/computer_activity_view.html to get a grasp of where the info is coming from.
