Boot-time defragmentation doesn't respect excluded disks

Hi,

 

I have a laptop with 2 SATA connected disks - HDD and SSD. SSD is partly used as a cache for HDD (Intel Rapid Storage, this part is hidden for system) and in the rest of a space it contains regular partition with assigned drive letter (G:). I'm using this partition for system pagefile only.

 

First of all, disk G: is visible in a list of disks in Defragler, even though I have option "Show SSD disks" unchecked in the settings. I'm not sure, but this isn't a bug most probably, because this disk is marked as a "Local disk" in Windows, am I right? What is "Show SSD disks" good for? Is it for removable flash drives only?

 

My main concern is about boot-time defragmentation. I have set Defraggler to defragment on every boot. My SSD disk (G:) contains system pagefile, so I have added "G:\*" to "Excluded" in the settings, because as far as I know, it's not a good idea to defragment files on SSDs. But Defraggler ignores it and defragments even pagefile on this disk.

 

My questions:

 

1. Why Defraggler ignores excluded in boot-time defragmentation?
2. Is it safe and efficient to defragment files on SSDs?

 

My configuration:

 

System: Windows 7 64 bit

Defraggler: 2.19.982 64 bit
