I had one of the original series but I killed it during an over zealous project (we won't go into that stupidity).

I heard about the new, current series and want one, but will wait for Win10 to come out as MS has a Pi compatible version.

And when I saw that case, that sealed the deal !

The Raspberry Pi 2 looks interesting, just sad it's so expensive her.
Looking in to getting one when the price comes down a bit.

MS Win10 Pi compatible version will change the way people look at the Pi and what they can do with it.

I'm interested in the raspberry pi, but I just don't know what I would do with it. I've seen people rigging up home automation and other gadgets with them.

These should keep you busy!

What !, where are you, the moon. :)

From memory the Pi cost me something like $AUD42 delivered.

Some earlier discussions:  http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=43375&hl=

Mine has 512 mb RAM and their first processor. It is not the newest one available.
The newest, called the version 2 (I think), has 1 gb RAM and a faster processor.
Still, this older version is about as fast as some of my old desktops were. No kidding.
The newest is supposed to be about 7 times faster. May have to upgrade.

The little computer is surprisingly fast.

I want to set a newer one up with a wireless mouse & keyboard, so that it will set on a table hooked to a TV.

It could then be used as a computer or a media device.

Did a bit of shopping, all the components and the new Pi would cost about $100 US.  No go yet, that's a bit steep for a plaything.

But sooner or later . . .  :)

The CCleaner SLIM version is always released a bit after any new version; when it is it will be HERE :-)

Pssssst: ... It isn't really a cloud. Its a bunch of big, giant servers.

It's $AUD 58,54 here (ZAR 549.00).

That is excluding delivery.

That is a great site.

I thought the little motherboard in a clear case, no moving parts, little flashing lights and a pretty big performance might help get the young kids interested in programming, or at least give them a different perspective on what a computer really is.

Still may try it.

I get the appeal but I'm actually more excited about all the new "stick" pcs coming from lenovo, hp, ect. They are these little mini computers that plug into hdmi ports on monitors:

They cost more but they have a lot more capability in my opinion.

I played around with the idea of buying a raspberry pi to use as a media computer. However between video game consoles, rokus, and apple tv, I doubt I would actually use it for anything.
