Does a given CCleaner backup file contain deleted cookies and cache info... ?

... or is it just a backup of registry items removed?

I'm not particularly tech savvy (obvious no doubt; sorry) and got a little nervous when trying to open a CC backup file in an attempt to view its contents, in search of deleted cookies and cache from a given date.

Any help appreciated, thanks in advance. :)

If it has a ".reg" extension you can right click and select edit or you can open it with notepad.

That will let you see the contents, but as dvdbane said it will only be registry entries.

Be careful, don't change anything in case you want to put it back into the registry later.

If you double click it it will just offer to merge itself back into the registry.

The CCleaner SLIM version is always released a bit after any new version; when it is it will be HERE :-)

Pssssst: ... It isn't really a cloud. Its a bunch of big, giant servers.
