CCleaner Registry Cleaner

Why does CCleaner say the same thing for every entry in registry cleaner? It says "These references are often left behind after uninstalling software.  Solution: Delete the registry value." I've uploaded a .txt file from one of the registry issues. It doesn't matter if there is one or one hundred issues, the diagnosis and solution are always exactly the same.

CCleaner is supposed to be a simple program so it doesn't have to explain in detail every registry problem it finds. It just tells you that there is some clutter left in registry and fixes it by deleting obsolete entries. Thats all, no more detailed information is needed here and you have cleaner system registry ;).

Although CCleaner is often seen as having a "gentle" registry cleaner people still need to be careful using it and in some instances people have posted about it breaking something. So it's valid to ask questions about it beforehand if someone is uncomfortable with it - rather than feeling sorry later.

Thanks to both who replied.I have anothert question now. Several of the entries in registry cleaner say "invalid firewall rule." This is a new one on me. I've been using CCleaner for a while now and have never seen that one.

Here's another .txt file of registry errors. Thanks in advance.

Invalid firewall entries: any program you no longer use remove. So if you no longer have avg 2014 it should be fine to remove them.

Same with any other AVG 2014

The ones that reference your temp directory, for example

Missing MUI Reference	C:\Users\Schafer\AppData\Local\Temp\pftC610.tmp\setup.exe	HKCU\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache

can usually be removed safely

If you don't use an ios (iPhone, iPad, iPod) device you most likely don't need the iphonemanager & IUserHelper entries, however, iTunes may re-add them, IDK.

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
