ntman1
Hello, I am getting an out of memory error after I run recover in "Deep Scan" mode on a drive. I have 3 gigs usable on my computer (4 gigs on 32-bit Windows 7 (SP1). How could I run out of memory? Thanks.

ntman1
The only thing is, I haven't gotten that error in probably 20 years. Does it not use swap files?
Moderators Nergal Posted January 11, 2014 Moderators Share Posted January 11, 2014 The only thing is, I haven't gotten that error in probably 20 years. Does it not use swap files? If you mean does recuva not use swap files, i'd hazard a guess that it does not, as writing a swap file would cause writing to disc which could (and would likely) overwrite the very data you're trying to rescue.
